Has anyone on my flist read anything by Neal Stephenson? I just picked up his Anathem a couple days ago, and guuuuuh. So much awesome. I went and put all his stuff on hold in my local library before I was even finished. xD But I won't be able to get them 'til Tuesday, because the government is fail and has no money (our libraries aren't open on Sundays and Mondays now... D: ). Anyway, he reminds me greatly of... a little bit easier to understand Umberto Eco? Which is awesome in my book. :) I like philosophical books with lots of intellectual discussion. Makes me feel smart. xD And its interesting.

While on the topic of recs, I'm sure there are some people on my flist who've listened to the singer Rob Thomas. I just discovered him a couple weeks ago, and he's already one of my favs. :D I can tell just by the fact that I've at least liked every single one of his songs I've heard, and loved most of them. If you haven't heard of him, you should check him out.

As far as my life goes... yesterday was spent mostly studying calculus. My final for calc is this Thursday, and I doubt I'll be ready. Then again, I doubt I'll ever be ready for a commulative calculus final. >_> Yesterday evening I cleaned one of our bathrooms, then went downstairs and pretended to work on a worksheet while really browsing ebay for Ukitake stuff and depressing myself by looking at the UkiShun doijins that I can't buy. Can't wait 'til I get to live on campus next year. xD I did find an Ukitake poster and an Ukitake & Shunsui poster, and I'm hoping the parents will let me get the Ukitake & Shunsui wall hanging as a present, since that's very gen, but I'm pretty sure my dad knows I ship them, so. xD He'll at least give me a rolly eyes disgusted look. xD; Eh, I'd be happy with just the Ukitake one *shrug*.

I probably won't get much of a chance to study calculus today, as we went to church for the first time in a month or two this morning. The 11 o'clock service, so we didn't get back 'til 12:30 since there was communion, and we have to leave at 2 for Christmas pictures.

Oh yeah, church. That was fun. >_> On the drive there, Mom started talking about how this is going to be our/her first Christmas without my grandma/her mom, and she was tearing up a bit, but then I thought she was fine. But once we got there and we started singing the opening hymn, she just starts bawling. I have no idea why, since the hymn had nothing to do with death or anything, but *shrugs*. I guess it was just that she was in church for the first time since her mom's death? Idek. But I had to comfort her. Ah well. =/

*goes to eat lunch* Tuna~ :D
