Okay, so they're finally up! *laughs* When I first got home they were only up in Japanese. Can you imagine my face? I was like: O_O + D':
That was very descriptive, I know.
Anyway, some translations are up nooow! Unfortunately, it looks like no Jyuu, Shun, or Stark this chapter. *mopes in a corner* But it does look like Soi Fon has something up her sleeve! That's very good news. The spoilers this week so far haven't been very descriptive, but what I got was the Oomaeda was freaking out, SF had a talk with him, than ran off to do something. Oomaeda was maybe supposed to distract/occupy Barragan?
I think it holds some potential, especially to see Oomaeda maybe do something while Soi Fon is gone. I don't particularly like the guy, but it's always bugged me that a real idiot could've gotten vice-captain of a freaking ninja squad. So we'll see.
I'm figuring that Soi Fon's plan has something to do with her bankai. This would fit a theory Vraie mentioned to me the other day, that there's something special about her bankai that requires certain circumstances which would explain why she hasn't yet. For instance, maybe she needs to be really far away or really close for it to work best. Like Kira's attacks needed to be close range for maximum effect.
Then again, she could totally have something else up her sleeve. I'm not discounting it! XD
And now to Hitsugaya... the spoilers for him were, if anything, even less specific. Sometimes he was saying something about getting power from Heaven, sometimes it was just description of power coming to him from the sky. I'm thinking now that it's both. I guess I'm glad Hitsu wasn't injured- I never really thought he would be- and I do like the little guy, but. From Heaven? I want to wait 'til we get more details, but this reeks of overpoweredness (is that a word?). Hrmm. He has been beaten several times before... Aizen, Luppi, and he was totally struggling against that arrancar guy (I don't remember who it was) before the limiter was taken off. I don't know...
Then again, some things people have said on the forum cheered me up a little. Someone was like, "well, the Espadas get their power straight from Hell! XDD" and another said something about Aizen can crush the Heavens. XD Anyway, we don't know the details yet.
Either way, the last part of the translation is "The chapter ends with the special move." so maybe we'll get to see some cool action, at least?
Another thing is bothering me, though. There's a special emphasis on Hyourinmaru being the 'strongest ice/snow type zanpakutou'. Ice/snow is too similar to water for me not to be a little bothered by an ultra-attack with it. XD I'm hoping for an awesome bankai from Jyuu at some point in the future, and his element is probably water judging from his shikai. I'm worried they'd be too similar. *shrugs* Then again, this does help with this fic I'm writing where Jyuu and Hitsu's zanpakutou's have a sort-of bond... *wanders off*
I just thought of something:
First: "At the end he unleases Hyourinmari's full power."
later translation: "So, are you going to use your greatest secret? Let it out!"
... So is this kind of like Ulquiorra? He has a secondrelease bankai?! *laughs* I don't know if you can interpret it that way, but LOL.
Other forum things:
"Omaeda trained and he has Bankai? :P" <<< made me LOL that would be FUNNY. NO ONE would see that coming. XD *dies*
But then: "This is the Ice Ryujin Jakka, epic abilites should be expected!"

on 2009-05-19 07:02 pm (UTC)Well, I know they're not the same! :p I just meant that with Jyuu's shikai mentioning waves and lightning, I had pictured his bankai to involve an epic storm or some such. With an ice zanpakutou pulling some new full bankai/second bankai/whatever from the sky, it just has me a little nervous. Some people are predicting a snow storm/blizzard type thing for Hitsugaya, and I don't want what he does to overshadow Jyuu's bankai. *laughs* But I'm a crazy fangirl. And we don't have the scans yet, so maybe when we get them we'll know more about what exactly Shorty is doing with the sky.

I'm still gonna be cross if Hitsu beats Halibel though. XD
...This week's spoilers didn't do a lot for me, in all honesty. Except make me wonder if Hitsu's big secret is that he's finally hit puberty...

I was like, "well, nothing really happened, I guess I'll type up a little post anyway..." and that's what came out. Had more to say than I realized, apparently. *laughs*
On a seperate note, please tell me that the forumers comment about Hitsugaya's zanpakutou being the ice version of Yamajii's bother you as much as it bothered me? I mean, I guess Yamajii's in the best of the fire element and Hitsu's is the best of the ice/snow, but... Yamajii's is supposed to be the best overall too, isn't it?!
Not to make this comment longerer, lol, but that brings to mind another question. Does Hitsu mean his sword is the best ice/snow zanpakutou in SS at this time, or ever? *ponders this*

Hitsu is a smart chibi, but he lacks all those years Genryuusai has under his, well, obi. So that's wishful fan thinking imo...not even worthy of reply really.
Mind you, Hitsu/Halibel is about reeking of fanservice so far...so we'll see...
