Those chapters are being made of Barragan fanservice

At least we got DAJHVWQJHFGQ STARK LILINETTE SHUNSUI AND UKITAKE.
Well my votes are:

"This is only one way her bankai can be used. Like Hitsugaya just did, she will bring in something different to add to her attack, and this will defeat Barragan."

"SoiFon will fight him, and Omaeda gets caught in the crossfire or saves SoiFon. Omaeda dies but Soi Fon eventually kills Barragan." -> THIS IS ACTUALLY WHAT I WANT TO HAPPEN LOL. NOT WHAT I THINK THAT WILL HAPPEN BUT ANYWAYS~!

SoiFon will fight him, and Omaeda gets caught in the crossfire or saves SoiFon. Omaeda dies but Soi Fon eventually kills Barragan.

This is the one I hope will happen. Buut...

SoiFon loses to Barragan, but doesn't die because someone like Yoruichi comes and saves them!

I think this one is more likely.


Halibel is going to bring Hitsugaya down with her, and they will both die.

Ok question 1; I'd vote this:
Her shot is not simply an explosion. It has another element to it, but not kido- maybe something more physical, for example poison. This eventually kills Barragan.
because being covert ops they probably use poison and (it may have only been in filler not sure) but she could make antidotes for poisons with her shikai. Plus i don't think her bankai going to completely detour from her 'roots'

question 2; I think omaeda may die (read: i don't like him he's pretty useless so i don't mind him being a casualty of war cos there has to be some) but no-one on the good side has died in battle so far in bleach but ya never know and I don't think it'd be good if yoruichi did come save her because of the point you made in your last fic about her trying to fight her way out of yoruichi's shadow

question 3; Halibel eventually will die but not from what we saw the other chapter. Hitsu after all is a child prodigy and is not in complete control of his powers as seen by the flower petals above his bankai. If he were I'd be saying Halibel is dead but i think she has tricks up her sleeve for the moment, she is the third espada after all.

Yeah, people are talking about how there's no sign of either one of them. I think that means Kubo is building up to something significant going on soon!

Yeah, her bankai isn't really stealthy and easy to fight with, is it? I wonder why it turned out that way...

Ooh, the chapter. Aside from my (minor, I promise) rants in various places that it was GINjoutan not KINjoutan (because it was silver and not gold) and about Oomaeda's Kidou not being given a kana reading in any spoiler so I had to wait...

The only part of the chapter I really cared about was Juu.

It's actually made me feel a little better about Juu, especially in terms of him patronising Lili. He's not so much as he's trying to elicit a proper attack from her. He doesn't want to fight her as she is, but he knows its his duty to fight her. He's not underestimating her, he's provoking her. He wants her to pull out that hidden strength that (we presume, maybe not) she has and give him a proper reason to use his.

This suggests to me that he feels she can do better and is prepared for it, or that he hopes she can do better so that he can do his job and eradicate her on even terms. Because Juu believes in fair fights...he's not going to just waste a 'kid' if she's not at least providing a threat. And ol' Yama wouldn't like that...

Barragan and Soi Fon...hrm. I don't necessarily agree that Kidou is useless against him since Kidou has many, many different facets and uses and functions. I guess we'll wait and see.

What was interesting was that Oomaeda hadn't seen Soi Fon's bankai before. Which begs the question...does she literally NEVER use it - has ANYONE seen it before other than when she was appointed Captain? Or is he that recently her VC that he hasn't seen it...?

I'll admit, the only part of the chapter I really cared about was Jyuu-kun, too. XD I do care about all the other characters, but when Jyuu is in a chapter he completely eclipses that. <333

I agree. Though I'm still a little wary- still so many twists can occur- it made me feel more better about his position too. As usual, it comes across better in the actual chapter than it did in the spoilers. He's not going "Ha ha, nanana, I have your sword!". He's trying to do something. Could it be that he doesn't really want to sit back down and just watch the fights like he was doing before? He doesn't want to fight a kid, either, but maybe he wants Lili to give him something closer to an equal fight so he can feel like he's accomplishing something. Did that make sense? XD

I also kind of got the impression that he's waiting for something. Maybe it's just, like you said, he's waiting to see her real potential. Hrm.

That's true. We don't know much about how kido works either, do we? Ichigo never learned it... There could be some tecnique or different way of using it. I'm hoping for something like that.

Actually, I didn't think that was so strange. Bankai seems to be a secret thing. You're not really supposed to talk about how you achieve it. Captains wouldn't actually have the chance to use their bankai that often, would they?
