Anime~
I had to clean my parents cars today. >_> Both of them. Ick. But they paid me, so it's all good! Well, really it was that they deducted money from the >100 dollars that I owe them. But still...
That took a couple hours out of my day, but besides that I mostly just chilled on the computer... and I actually watched some episodes of Bleach for the first time! XDDD *shot*
So I watched the bridge scene (with Ichigo, Rukia, Byakuya, Yoruichi) and oh Hanatarou. XD *cuddles him* Why have I not seen more Rukia/Hanatarou stuff? He obviously has a crush on her... and Sentaro and Kiyone are even more hilarious in the anime than they are in the manga. *giggles* and asdkfl; I love Jyuu-kun in that scene so much. D: *hugs him*
And then I skipped to episode 54, which is the start of Rukia's execution. XD Yes, it was partly because that contains the big Ukitake and Shunsui scenes which admitably are my favorite in the entire series. Buuut, it wasn't just that. Rukia's execution and the aftermath I just love anyway. Everytime I read the execution scene and Rukia is thinking about her life and says "Thank you. Goodbye." I tear up. Every time. Watching the anime was no different. *sniffles* Rukiaaaa. And I think Ichigo saving her was even more dramatic in the anime than it was in the manga. *___* ILU ICHIGOOO.
I've always had some questions about that scene, so I figured now is a perfect time to put them to my wonderful flist. XD <33
Okay, first of all is the conversation right before the execution between Shunsui and Nanao. Nanao is staring up at the scaffold, and Shunsui says "Stop looking so sad, you'll make me sad too." And Nanao goes "I'm not making this face because I'm... sad." But she doesn't clarify.
Now, I guess it could very well just be Nanao being wtf shut up I don't have emotioooons! But... she doesn't say it coldly, or sharply. She sounds more contemplative and slightly sad then any thing. I always felt like she never finished what she was trying to say.
My second question has more meat behind it. The Sougyoku itself. Rukia didn't do anything crazy like kill anyone or rebell or other dramatic things like that, that must have happened at one point or another in the last 2,000 years. Then why is it that when everyone like Omaeda, Soi Fon, and Isane are all freaking out and going "Omgsh so that's what it's release is!!" Shunsui goes "Hmm, that's a surprise." Whaaaat? How has Shunsui never seen this before!?
Also, *cackles* the raws of 361 are out! And vraieesprit attacked them. She has direct translations of the bankai(s) line, and the Hitsugaya line. Her post can be found here because I know there are at least a couple people on my flist who'd be interested.Plus, this is like her first Bleach post that isn't flocked. XD Of course I'm going to link it. :p

Yes. And so I should go back to the shadows.

Nuuuuuu! *drags you out of the shadows*

Nooo, the shadows, they were shielding me from the horses!
no subject
...what horses?
no subject
...hollow ones. These are purple. You see why I am hiding, right?
no subject
.... O_O Why are you being followed by purple hollow horses?!
no subject
Why wouldn't I be followed by purple hollow horses? It's the carrots, I tell you. I should stop carrying those around!
no subject
... YEAH, MAYBE IT WOULD BE WISE TO GET RID OF THE CARROTS.

I love when Juu stopped Byakuya and Byakuya had this wtf look on his face. Juu-kun is so adorable x)
I think Nanao was trying to come up with an excuse but decided against it. She usually retorts against anything her captain says, but in a time like that, I think she just let up and realized that she and her captain were feeling the same remorse at the time. But of course, she would never directly admit that.
As for Soukyoku, maybe the executions in the past never made Kikouou appear? Or maybe their expressions are just added in for more dramatic effect.
*squeals* I love your friend!! JUUSHUN YESSS~!!

I know exactly what you're talking about! XD I even have a screencap of that scene. Where the heck did you come from, Ukitake?! XDD
That could possibly be it. As it was never elaborated on, I guess that means it was nothing. I just got a weird impression off that scene. It might just be me. XD
That's my running theory; that for some reason they used something else for executions in the past.
Hehe YAY! I love her too! XDD Bankais! :DD *dances*

Keep in mind, I didn't know the One Rule of Bleach: No one dies. D:
The excution scene is beautiful. The Viz dub did the best thing in casting Michelle Ruff for this role, because boy does she act the hell out of a scene (The scene with Kaien's death would have won her a daytime Emmy if it were a soap opera. So says I :D ).

Because Juu and Byakuya's seiyuu are old friends/bandmates/etc, I think you get a particular 'chemistry' between those two on screen. And ditto Ichigo/Renji since Morita and Itou are good friends/both completely insane. So I love the SS arc, completely, in the anime.
Though there are some scenes I've noticed that got shortened...I guess that's just how it works.
Bleach has a totally stellar seiyuu cast though. And I love seeing all the storylines moving and in colour.
And Rukia's farewell...
"Arigatou...arigatou...arigatou. Sayounara."
Ichigo has his good/bad moments for me in the storyline, but the whole Soukyoku sequence is so effective - with both of them.
And I'll try not to f-lock all my bleach posts in future. <.<
It's kind of become habit...

Well i don't know what she was wanted to say then, it's sad that we'll never know. D: *demands more Shun-Nanao moments D:*
Anyway there were so many awesome parts in that arc. I miss that excitement i felt, which i don't feel now. [Okay that's partly because i've already read the manga chapters, so it's not surprising. XD]But well i could be also excited about the weekly chapters. ^^
