So the trick is to re-read!

I realized it's more effective to start coloring the actual picture and the crop and resize. Meh D: But there shall be icons! *nod*

I did that too, but I'm still just staring normally and healthily at him!

Um... I don't know what program you're using but I put the lineart layer on top, put it to multiply and make new layers for coloring underneath. I have no idea of what I'm doing! ^^

I use photoshop. XD And thanks for the tip. Though I still wouldn't know where to start with the colors and shading and... erk.
