There is internet here! :D But as I suspected, I'm only going to be able to get on very infrequently. xD But I had to slink on this morning to post this.

Notes: I wrote this last night in the car. This is for cmc42. <3333 Sorry I fail at comforting over aol. D:



Voices murmur at the edges of his consciousness, but Ichigo does not even try to listen. They hold no interest to him. All of him is absorbed in the study of his hands, the dirt wedged beneath his fingernails, the bloody calluses on his palms.

Then he feels the reiatsu. He jerks up, hope lurching in his chest and burning through his lungs. "Renji." He breathes. There are anxious shouts in the background, but again they do not register. He is bolting through the door of the shop, unconsciously moving into flashstep, the world dissolving into a blur.

Then he's there, pressed up against a warm body, and there is a hot voice in his ear. "Told yah I wouldn't die." Ichigo kisses him, their lips crushing harshly against each other, each seeking reassurance in the strength and breath of the other.

They break away gasping for air, "Renji." is all he can say, "Renji." The tense energy that has kept him upright, the worry and need that has fueled him on, finally drains out of him, and he slumps against his lover.

Arms wrap comfortingly around him and Ichigo tangles his fingers desperately in tattered clothes. "It's over now, Ichigo. I'm here."

It's been nice and refreshing to dab with the Calmer People recently, but, well, I have a problem with frail characters. Tl;dr ahead: I wrote that first ShunUki after I read the, you know, Thing That Has Happened, and they've invaded my dreams. So the dream, naturally, took a smutty course at some point, and I woke up all "OMG! They're so pretty, why have I never positioned them before?", but then it hit me. They would never in a million years hurt each other. And I am only physically capable of writing rough sex. So I'll have to leave them in the capable hands of more purple-y writers than myself. UNLESS THEY SHOW UP AT senkaimon OR SOMETHING. LOL.

So I grab voters and drag them into a dark room to, um, bribe them to vote for me, and then Aizen grabs voters and drags them into a dark room to bribe them to vote for him, and then ShunUki THROW VOTERS OUT OF A DARK ROOM TO HAVE SEX IN IT. \o/? WHY AM I STILL WRITING I DON'T EVEN No way, man. LOL, I'm picturing a scene where it happens by mistake, and they'll be all "this never happened to me before" and "wanna try again?" and "I won't apologize, that's just absurd" etc. ♥
But where's the fun? NO I'M KIDDING AGAIN. I've actually thought about writing an academy fic of them for Cliche Bingo.[And I'm still getting shit for writing in my sleep by now, so prospects for ShunUki: looking up.]

My subconscious was traumatized by that chapter, damn it. I had another Bleach dream a long while back (though no ShunUki, so you might wanna tune out. It is rather batshit). I was with a gang from Soul Society and we were raiding Aizen's HQ, which was this office building at the end of a desert road. So we're walking over there, and in the middle there were a few minutes where I realized what I was planning on doing and I literally crumbled down and started bawling on the ground, completely and utterly mortified and convinced Aizen was going to kill me. And this dream happened a few months ago, the only reason I even remember it so vividly is because it was that fucking scary and real. For some reason STARK eventually came to comfort me (I have no idea why he was on our side. Maybe my brain knew even back then that Stark'll end up, like, my third favorite person ever). So I get up and we go on, and there are all these clerks coming out for their coffee breaks and shit. They, and the civilians, have no idea fucking God operates in their building. AND THEN. TEAM AIZEN COMES OUT OF THE - OH, YOU KNOW THE REST. And I actually turn heel and start shouting with some clerk about something we might have been discussing, because I am a fucking inconspicuous ninja, okay? Hitsugaya starts yelling my name at some point, and I get all nervous and, like, "DUDEWTFAREYOUDOING YOU'RE SELLING ME OUT", until I finally turn around and he's yelling "HE DOESN'T KNOW YOU!".
Right. Phew. Moving on, I rejoin our group and we go into the building, and we split up. I don't even remember who I was with, I think a girl. So I shoo a civ from their office and start looking for something in there (like God would leave a paper trail). AND THEN. ~*~DRAMA~*~. BECAUSE. GIN COMES IN. I woke up even before the Ikorose, because you always wake up before you die, right? That dream has stuck with me ever since that night as the scariest, most vivid, and FUCKING AWESOME dream ever. For the record, Gin has always scared the shit out of me. It has not improved one bit.

It was like all the compensation for the boring fights in one chapter - the funny, the baddass, the hot bishie, the ShunUki, the TWO GUNS. I almost missed the Ukitake rescue moment because I squeeing so hard about those guns, I swear, I had to calm myself down and only then noticed Ukitake's chin. DD:
