Sorry I didn't do a spoiler post earlier in the week, the spoilers were so vague and confusing, I didn't think there was much purpose. ^_^;;

I still don't have much to say about this chapter, uhm. I still adore Barragan and his monologues, even if no one else does. xD [livejournal.com profile] bleachness is full of Barragan!hate this week. D: Oh well. I like him. And I doubt he's dead yet, either. Wounded, I could see, but completely dead? That would be too quick and easy. Plus I wantz moar character development, harhar.

Also. Hacchi? is BADASS. I'm really becoming fond of him, lol. *pats*

I seem to be the only one not taking the ending conversation between Hacchi and Soifon at face value. I think there's more going on there. We didn't actually see the conversation, or know who brought it up first, or what the context is. So I guess we'll see, but... I don't think it's just Soifon being a jealous unthinking bitty. xD SS is officially allied with Urahara, even if they're not with the Vaizard. I don't know. I think she's smarter than that?

But what do I know?

Discussion Questions:
1) Does Orihime have the potential to do everything Hacchi is doing?

2) Wtf do you think is up with Soifon?

3) Are we going to continue with this battle, or skip around to the other battles? D'you think we're going back to HM soon?

1) I think that Orihime's powers are totally different from Hacchi's kidou: it's just that they tend to have the same result (shields, healing, and blasts). I think that yes, Orihime _could_ make shields as effective as Hacchi's for sealing Barragan in with the incoming blast. But I think that Hacchi's got more instincts for military applications than she does, which is fair enough, given his experience and training.

2) I don't think she's totally serious about "lock Urahara up for a month" in the middle of the current situation. I think it may be more her idea of a joke, or a non-serious demand that lets her agree to work with Hacchi without having to be the one who gives in.

On the other hand, I think she would absolutely love to lock Urahara up. (It's not just her personal dislike of him for taking Yoruichi away here. Even if he is currently helping them, the guy is a seriously random factor, and if he hadn't been doing illegal research 100 years ago, would things have been different?)

3) No idea. :)

1. Hacchi commented that Orihime's power is similar to his own, but I think her power isn't actually kido per se, so she would be unable to use those barrier incantations. She might be able to recreate the effects using her own particular powers once she's stronger, though? I guess we'll see.

2. She wants Yoruichi all to herself. Clearly Urahara has been cutting into their Alone Time. /not serious

3. I really want to go back to Hueco Mundo to see what Unohana is doing, except they still have to fight Mr. Sliding Scale Yammy.

Oh, and word on the Barragan appreciation. If nothing else, it's refreshing to have a character whose power is OLD AGE when Naruto is constantly going IF YOU ARE OLDER THAN TWENTY YOUR REMAINING LIFESPAN CAN BE COUNTED ON ONE HAND.

Aw, Soifon's just sour because Urahara stole Yoruichi's heart xDD

I just want to know about Ulquiorra. T__T

The whole Hacci/Soi Fon struck me as weird, but this Bleach we're talking about, so there is a good chance Soi Fon is just being petty. Still, why be so specific about keeping him in a barrier for a month? He's not exactly been in Soi Fon's way per say; she and Yoruichi are back and contact etc. VERY ODD.

I wonder if we'll get a different fight each chapter? Or after the break next week, Espada plottwist will make his giant return (I can't believe i'm saying this, but I think I miss Yammy's ego).

IN ANY CASE, I NEED MOAR LISA TYVM KUBO.

OH MAN, I FORGOT ORIHIME. YES. I think she has the potential to be much more powerful than Hacci, really. Her powers aren't kidou and thet aren't shinigami nor hollow, so I hope they get explored more.

1) The potential, Yes. The guts, no.
2) She obviously wants to trap Uarahara so that Yoruichi-sama will be free to have hot lesbian sex with her.
3) I think we'll skip to other battles!

1. She has the potential to get to his level and surpass it...now she just needs the confidence to do so.

2. I think she was just letting her anger and jealousy out but kidding at the same time.

3. Skip around

About Barragan, I like the gut. His power is interesting and release is super cool. Though I can't wait for him to be deafeted or something so we can learn more about his past or his powers.

1- Aizen said that Orihime's powers transcend those of a god. She's *got* to have oomph, but as the others say, no guts. >.<

2- For myself, I think Soifon would seriously want this, and feel Urahara was getting off easy.
However! Just taking this all at face value, I really wonder what the timeline is going to be like. What I mean is that Urahara is one of the major people who is connected with Aizen. If they are to have any sort of confrontation, and Soifon gets her wish, it would either have to happen 'today', or in a month, or Hacchi makes a loophole. (Somehow he didn't look too concerned when agreeing to this...) Also, we haven't seen Urahara since he sent Ichigo on his way. We've seen what he's been working on, but not the man. Hopefully this bet will at least bring him out of hiding ^^
Also, having the Tousen battle going on on top of this bet about Urahara makes me think that the end is getting closer, although of course it will still be a very long time coming. (Then again, that might just me be being optimistic... it could very well be much, much longer ^^)

In short, that bet made my mind go on overdrive thinking of what it meant. I hope it really means something!

3- Some skipping around is due! I'm not burning to see what's up in HM, but every chapter we have here seems to bring us closer to going back.

1. I wouldn't say everything. Hachi said their powers were "similar." While Orihime has the power to reject events, Hachi is a kido master who can seal and attack as well.

2. Jealous bitch, much? No, there has to be some underlying factor or she's just joking around. She wouldn't seriously tell Hachi to seal Urahara up in a barrier just because Yoruichi abandoned her to follow him. We know that she's aware of his abilities, so she shouldn't be holding a grudge against him for gaining a captain's position... Maybe it was all just a big joke, but that grin of hers is pretty ambiguous.

3. My bets are on continuing with this battle. Things need to get wrapped up pretty quickly, and while Barragan probably isn't dead yet, I'm sure he's close. If they skipped around to different fights each chapter, the excitement kind of wears down in my opinion because you're so hyped up in the current battle and then you have to remember what happened in the last one when the story returns to that battle. Although, truth be told, I'm getting a little sick of seeing the Espada fight and want to go back to Hueco Mundo and see what the captains (mainly Unohana - when are you fighting?) are up to. No doubt they'll help to fight Yammy when the time comes. And... is Grimmjow still alive? *off-topic* XD;;

- I think Orihime have the same potential with Hacchi doing but she must train by Hachhi
2) Wtf do you think is up with Soifon?
- Yoruichi stalker?? "maybe" hahahahaha
3) Are we going to continue with this battle, or skip around to the other battles? D'you think we're going back to HM soon?

dosn't anyone who has stronger spirutal energy the ability to do kidos too? so, sure, orihime could get as good as hachi but...this is orihime, her purpose in this story is to be a princess and be saved by her shining man in armour.
bleach will end before she's even strong enough to beat a hollow at grand fishers level.

oh, she's serious about that deal alright. will be fun to see if hachi's actually gonna fallow through with it. xD

I wanna go back to HM... I WANNA SEE GRIMMJOW! Please don't leave him alone in the desert with ken-chan too long! And then I wanna see Ichi come to the rescue and catch Renji in his arms... (that's not gonna hapen, but you can always whish xD)

Hacchi is great. I was overjoyed to see him in action! <3

1.) I think that Hacchi is a trained kidou master and an adult while Orihime is a teenager foremost, who is naturally driven by emotions and desires and by chance has some mysterious powers.

The extend and success of her powers depend a lot on her mental/emotional state which is not applicable in a military situation unlike Hacchis' powers, which are a reliable force in any given situation. Thus those two are not really comparable in my eyes. If she had the same training as he did - then it would be easier to compare their powers.

2.) That women is a total mystery to me. I doubt she would jeopardize Urahara's asset in times like these. We don't know where he is and why he hasn't shown up yet in order to join the fray.

Maybe he will need healing later one and SoiFon cuts a deal to ensure that he will be tended to? Or he needs a cleansing of sorts? Or maybe he needs to be secured for his own protection? We don't know. But I doubt that she is truly vindictive and uses this situation to make a deal in order to restrain Urahara.

3.) Probably skip. Don't we always? Besides we haven't seen Stark for some time now.

Dude, Barragan's monologues are epic. XP Maybe a little melodramatic, but I loved his chapter the first time around, and this one was pretty neat as well. Still like the first one better, though.

Soi Fon... XD Well, I'm guessing that her deal with Hacchi assumes that they will both be alive tomorrow, and that Aizen's threat will have been removed sufficiently such that they can go deal with domestic dramas. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if her beef with Urahara was entirely personal--I can't imagine their personalities mesh, and he is semi-responsible for Yoruichi leaving in the first place, which was Soi Fon's big abandonment angst in the Soul Society arc. But I think what she's saying is, Once this crap is all over, I have a personal vendetta to fulfill. And there's no time like the present to be lining that up! Er. XD Or something.

We'll probably have to switch fights, alas--don't we always? Hopefully to an interesting one, though! I'd rather we stayed out here with everyone rather than go back to Yammy in Hueco Mundo, though.

1. I think yes. She's got a huge potential and if it was actually about the possibility of her becoming so powerful, I'd say yes. But I think Orihime lacks the basics and, well, the guts to fight. Wasn't somewhere there written that her powers depends on the state of her mind...?

2. She wants Urahara locked, so she could steal Yoruichi for a month and have her way with cat-woman. Actually, give how SoiFon follows rules and regulations, I think she quickly made up an excuse to help Hacchi. She can't be dumb enough to not see the two of them must cooperate to win, and yet she's too proud to give in just like that. But that's just my opinion, anyway.

3. I already said I want to see Ken-chan and Renji so badly. D: I wish we'd go back to HM, but it seems unlikely...

1. I have a feeling she has something in her, which would be a big deal later on, but we'll have to wait for it. :|

2. I hope they forget this idea quickly, 'cause then how everyone will get to FKT? They need Urahara [and Isshin, Ryuuken and everyone from HM]. But i see the hidden meaning, that Soi just wants Yoruichi for herself. Jealous enough. XD

3. I'd gladly switch to Stark/Rose/Love fight. *.*

Heh, the only reason to read this chapter were Barragan's monologues, you're absolutely right, they're awesome! This chapter was booring! ^^'

The last two eps of anime were so much better! There were Zanpaktou in human forms! ^o^
