Oh, wow! I did not expect Barragan's death to occur this chapter... the spoilers did not sound like it. Then again, the spoilers were off as far as the hand thing. The spoilers said it was Barragan who lost the hand. Then again, I guess his hand probably exploded too ;) But Hachi lost his hand too.

... I hadn't thought about this until I typed that, but Hachi and Orihime's powers are supposed to be similar, right?... And she restored Grimkitty's arm. I wonder if Hachi can just restore his own hand...

Then again, Barragan's weird power magic thingy might have a different effect than an arm that was just chopped off. *ponders this*

I'm trying to decide how I feel about Barragan's death. I did like him, but I was iffy about him this chapter. I did like his arrogance and his speechify-ing, but I think he would have ended up feeling cooler if he'd had more to back up his arrogance. IDK. It felt almost too easy to kill him, after his death breath was hyped up so much. Hrmmmm.

Hacchi is looove~ He's so cool. *pats him on the head*

Aaaand, I think we've established that Omaeda -->> Soifon by now, right? xDD

To be completely honest, somehow I could not bring myself to like Barragan. Actually, can anybody tell me WHAT the hell should be likeable about him? XD

Yeah... I do like the three Espada especially Stark, yum, but... I think people would have gotten annoyed if this fight had gone on longer. And I think the other two fights are going to last a while too. But its nice to see the beginning of the fights having an effect, lol.

I'm going to miss Barragan because his power as absolutely amazing. One of the best in the entire show! Too bad he didn't last longer.

You've got the same problem with it as I do.

His death just seemed so...simplistic. No difficulty at all. I feel like there should have been more to it than what we were given--his ability was made out to be so powerful...and he's one of the top three espada.

It's leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

Though I still love Hacchi. (And I liked Barrigan, too.)

I really enjoyed Haachi's move - that was really wicked.

On Barrigan - well, I felt a bit cheated. Weren't we usually given some kind of back story of an Espada when they died? Why not for him? He was deliciously arrogant, even self-titling as a god - so where is the back-up for that?

The time-limit on SoiFon's bankai came at a surprise. Poor girl. No wonder she has such a strong shikai already. (that death flower/sting of hers IS her shikai, yes? It's been ages when I watched those eps)

Well actually, we definitely haven't gotten backstory on all of the Espada. Just some of them. And I'm not going to say more if you haven't seen this week's spoilers yet ;)

Uh, I'm pretty sure it is. I didn't think it was at first, but I've been told that it is, sooo. Yeah, I found the limit surprising, too. Considering she's actually one of the older Captains... hrm. *ponders*

Regarding Orihime and Hacchi's powers, I wonder if Hacchi has made a fundamental error.

That is -- Hacchi looked at what she could do with her power (shields, healing, etc) and I think he assumed it was a natural form of kidou, with her hairpins as the focus. He himself is a kidou master, so he assumed "your powers are like mine".

I'm not sure he realised the full scope of her powers to reject things, or its implications, in the way that Aizen has perceived it.

well, I have this feeling that kubo speeded up things cuz, well, we're on fillers in the anime right? and he need to get ahead a bit before we get back to the main story.

and, they've been fighting for a while already, I think most people feel that they want some powning on the evil-trio, and we wanna get back to HM, after all, Renji have never won a fight - AND NEVER LOST AN ARM! tho, I must say that I hope he stays intact, it would be such a bother for his to do all those gorgeus tattooes over...

When I read this chapter my biggest reaction was
O.O Darnit, Hacchi, why didn't you do that in the FIRST PLACE *BEFORE* making the dumb deal with SoiFon?
... With his hand gone, will he be able to do kidou? = Will he be following up on his promise? XD

Though Hachi's powers may be similar to Orihime's, this time the situation is also different.. Orihime had only re-attatched Grimmjaw's arm hadn't she? And now Hachi's right hand is definately lost, he can't bring it back I guess. BUT Aizen had said that Orihime's powers were almost "god-like" (for the time-warping aspect of them), so there may be something there... And I am strangely anticipating something crazy from Orihime, like going berserk (as if that hadn't happened) and destroying everything.Because that girl had potential and I don't think it would've been just a waste..

But kind of a disappointing end for the number two Espada. His powers were so great and so powerful, I kind of didn't want him to die yet so that we could see some more battles between Hachi's awesometastic kidou skills and Barragan's rawr-I-rot-everything Respira powers. When he went on his whole angry rant, I kind of got a Zommari flashback when he battled Byakuya and kept saying how great he was. But the difference is that Zommari is number seven.

Aaanyway, I've lost hope that we'll return to Hueco Mundo anytime soon XD;; At least we can move onto another battle? Unless Kubo decides that he doesn't want Barragan to die yet and regenerates him =O Please don't, Kubo-san. Really.

I'm terribly glad to be rid of Barragan. That means Hacchi can move on to other things. Like fixing Ukitake.

Because really? He can't die. It's my mental canon that he's going to be Soutaicho someday.

1) SixtyNine sex Reunion.
2) Hiyori/Hitsu maykah de babiez
3) Grimmjow and Kenpachi frolicking battling through the sand dunes.
4) Nii-Sama.
5) Orihime making a sand castle out of Ulquiorra's remains. And then bringing him back. Srsly.
6) Isshin and Ryuuken pwnzing with their daddy!lazors.

I liked this battle and I'm pretty sure that things are over for the king of Hueco Mundo. At least, I hope so. It's not that I didn't like Barragan, I just felt like he wasn't adding anything to the plot so Kubo should just finish him off.

I am looking forward to what he's going to do next. I'm sure Lisa vs. Harribel is going to commence and I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing Lisa's Shikai! :3

I kinda agree about Barragan's death was a little bit simple, but i'm happy for the chance we see others [like that angsty fight, or finally some Jyuu or Shun!! :D]
