Wahoo!!! Spring Break!! :D *collapses*

Soooo... hallo there, flist. ^_~ Hopefully with this week off, I'll manage to get some stuff done. Like, answer the 50 things in my inbox, finally actually post something, write something, or make some more icons.

On that note, I WILL post something! Soon! I just need to find that flashdrive I saved them all on... ^_^;;

I do have a couple drabbles that I'm working on, but they're being rebellious. If anyone wants to leave some prompts for me, that'd be fabulous! Prompts always seem to inspire me to actually WRITE, lol. I can't promise anything but I'd try!

I'm driving down to Florida for Spring Break, so I'd also love some music recs! I'm in dire need of new music... On that note, do any of the Bleach people on my flist have any songs that remind you of Ukitake, Shunsui, or the two of them together? I have a couple myself, but I'm no music expert and I wondered if anyone else had some!

Thanks in advance to anyone that does respond! XD

Hooorah!! Spring Break! I hope you enjoy your trip. I liked what I saw of Florida.

Hmmm... the two of them together... I often listen to the opening sequence of Kingdom Hearts II for them. *laughs* But I don't associate too many published songs with them. I should look for some.

I love Florida! :) My grandparents live there, so I've visited at least once a year as far back as I can remember... They live like five seconds from the beach, too. It's great.

I don't normally associate songs with characters, though I know a lot of people that do. However, I was listening to Ukitake 'theme song' Back to the Innocence the other day, which really does fit him, and one thing led to another... I did find one post a couple pages back on shun_uki where some people listed some songs. A couple of those were pretty good. I was hoping to find a fanmix, but no luck. *pouts* :D If you find any, tell me. And if you want I can link you to that post.

Oooh, Spring Break. *loves Spring Break* Though, I wish I could be anywhere but Florida right now. When you actually live here, Spring Break just becomes annoying, what with all the college kids. Bah. I still love it though - it gives me the excuse to go places. :D

Here's a prompt for you: Ice. It can be any fandom (I honestly don't know which fandoms you write in, but I was thinking NCIS *snort*), and you can take it literally or figuratively. It can be that Tony's heater broke and it's -70 bajillion outside and he needs a place to stay, or someone is stuck in a freezer with a body, or someone is acting icy towards someone else... whatever! I've been toying with the idea for a while, but I'm trying to keep it in the back of my mind until I'm finished with The String Theory, heh heh.

Spring Break is fantabulous. :D And ooooh you live in Florida? Suh-weet! Sorry for being an annoying tourist! Heh.

So far I've mostly just dabbled in an anime fandom called Bleach, but I've been wanting to try my hand at NCIS! Thanks for the prompt, I'll see if the muses decide to bite. And that's a good girl! Keep writing String Theory! *pokes* :D

Yup! I've lived here all my life, from Ft. Lauderdale to Key West. I got used to the tourists after a while, so no worries. :D

Only now I don't live by the ocean anymore (I live in the middle of the state now *grumbles*). That shall be soon rectified though, because I'll be moving back to the beach in the summer. Thank god.

Ohh, Bleach - I'm familiar with it. I used to watch anime all the time - I've got gigs and gigs of it on discs in my computer room, but I haven't watched any of it in a while.

But yes - try writing NCIS. It's so much fun. :D And don't worry - I shall keep writing! I hate not finishing fics, bah.

Sweet! I've lived in Georgia all my life, but as I said in a comment above, my grandparents have lived in Florida for as long as I can remember. I've visited Florida at least once a year since I was a baby, so I've been all over. I know both Ft. Lauderdale and Key West. I don't know if I actually count as a tourist by this point. XD But good to know I'm not annoying either way! :p
I'd like to live permanently in Florida at some point. I could never stand living in the North- too cold. But the Bible belt ticks me off a lot. XD
Also, the beach is THE BEST. My grandparents live like a block away from it. Its great. :D
Oh sweet! You like anime too! Awesome. What are some others you've seen? I mostly read the manga, but I might still know some as a lot are both. My favorites are Bleach and Death Note.
I'm definitely going to attempt some NCIS at some point. I'm just so afraid of both Tony and Gibbs... their characterization is haaard. *chews nails* They're complicated characters. Then again, that's why I love them!

I've got family in Georgia, near Atlanta. I try to come up to visit at least once a year too, but it's weird. In the town where my family lives, there are huge stretches of land between buildings, and I'm not used to it. Heh. Never mind the fact that they're all a bunch of hicks. I'd love to live in the North - I love the cold. I'm tired of the heat and humidity in Florida, bah - especially since I don't live near the ocean anymore, and there's no ocean breeze.

Yup - been watching anime for years. I like the classics, like InuYasha, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Rurouni Kenshin, etc. I also like FLCL, Groove Adventure Rave, Soul Eater, Lupin III, Samurai Champloo, annnd, probably a bunch others, but I can't think of any more right now. *g* I love manga - I think most of the stuff I have is yaoi... heh. I'd have to say that my favorite manga of all time would be Blade of the Immortal. It's brilliant, look it up. The artwork alone will blow you away. Hiroaki Samura is a god.

Also - you'll never know if you'll be good at writing them unless you try! I'd be happy to be a beta for you if you ever do write some NCIS - I can help you with characterization, and all that good jazz. *beams*

My hometown is close to Atlanta too, but I'm guessing closer than your folks. There aren't really any big stretches of land and such, nor any serious 'hicks' or rednecks, at least not in my area. ^_~ Thank god. XD The North is okay. I have family in Ohio, so I've definitely experienced the cold. XD I could live there, but I'd prefer not to, I guess. I know people that love the cold, though.

Lessee... I've watched lots of Inuyasha, back when it was on Adult Swim. One of my first animes, actually. I was totally a Sesshy fangirl. XD I've seen some of both Cowboy Bebop and Rurouni Kenshin, though its been a while. I've saw Samurai Champloo on AS too! It was good! :D I liked the glasses guy- Jin, was it? I've read a number of yaoi manga. I assume since you like NCIS you probably have enjoyed FAKE and Yellow and such as much as I have? :DD *loves* I haven't heard of Blade of the Immortal- I'll check it out, see what I can find.

Ooh yay! I have a beta for NCIS! Sweet! I don't know if I'll ever need it, but thanks so much for the offer! :)

I haven't even seen snow. *fails*

OMG I LURVED SESSHOUMARU. He was my favorite evar. I always squeed when he went all demon. XD And yeah, the glasses guy from Samurai Champloo was Jin - he's my favorite character too. Any guy who'll dress in drag and hide his sword in a samisen automatically gets a gold star. :D

FAKE is one of my favorite yaois - I've got all seven volumes. I've read Yellow too, but I don't own any of them. I've also got stuff like Incubus (demons FTW), Legal Drug (which, they TOTALLY need to come out with a 4th one already, goddamn it), and Crimson Spell. I've got a bunch of others, series and stand-alones, but those are the ones that immediately spring to mind. :D

You're welcome! I'd be glad to. *beams*

Hahahahah! *laughs* You really are from Florida! Georgia has even had snow a couple times in the last couple years, including just a couple weeks ago. *grins* You definitely need to experience snow, my friend.

THAT'S 'CAUSE FLUFFY IS THE BESTEST EVAR. What was your favorite pairing for him? I could never really get any yaoi pairings for Inuyasha, so I was a SesshKag and SesshRin girl. XD And eee Jin sounds even awesomer than I remember! Plus I totally have a thing for anime guys in glasses. XD

FAKE is totally one of my favorite yaoi mangas too. Perhaps my very favorite. Gay cops FTW. *loves* I like older guy pairings anyway- the cheesy/sweet teenage ones can be cute, but. Yeah. :) Yellow is really up there too, for the same reasons. I haven't read Incubus or Crimson Spell, the I own the first two volumes of Legal Drug! CLAMP FTW! :D I really need to catch up on their stuff, yes yes. I don't remember the names of other yaois I've read either... most of what's out their is mostly teenaged angst and fluff, like I said. I might remember if I saw them/heard their names. And I never really got into the more main ones, like Gravitation.

Yeah yeah, I know! People tease me all the time because of it, heh.

When I first got into InuYasha, I started reading some Sesshoumaru/Kagome stuff, but then I gravitated towards Sesshoumaru/Miroku. *g* I don't read anime fanfiction much anymore these days, though - most of the writers are stupid 10 year-olds. :|

I like yaois that have older couples too - the teenage ones can be okay sometimes, but usually I'm just like "HOLY SHIT, you people are retarded." Incubus and Crimson Spell have older yaoi pairings. Incubus' artwork is old school, too - both of the guys are really tall and broad-shouldered and really muscular; you shan't find any wafer-thin pretty boys in this manga! *snort* And Crimson Spell is set in one of those periods where the time-period is ambiguous, but it's like medieval/Lord of the Rings ambiguous, you know? I think the prince is in his late teens, early 20s, and I can't remember how old the wizard is, if he's 200 but looks 30, or if he's just really young.. *SNORT* Google them, they're all really pretty. XD

Hehe! *mockmockmock*

Oh, I totally understand. Especially in a more popular fandom like Bleach, sometimes it's very hard to wade through all the crap. I HAVE been able to find a lot of good stuff, though!

Sometimes I think that part of the reason I like older people pairings is that the people that write them are usually older themselves... and therefor usually write better. XD Heh. That's only part of it, though. I just like their dynamics and older characters better in general.

Oh wow! Both of them sound like I'd enjoy them!

I don't know what sort of music you're into, but I've been listening to Ojos de Brujo loads lately - lively flamenco stuff with urban and Latin. (Feel free to PM for more info...)

Just bathed the cats this morning, and am badly battle-scarred. I'm sure the thought of accidental injury can make some good prompts for you - like those footballers who get injured playing computer games... hmm. Guess my brain is scratched as well as my arms;)

Thankies! I'll check it out.

And OUCH haha. Your poor arms. XD Most cats aren't fond of me at the best of times, so I can imagine.
